For the good times

Here we are again, together for the last time as Julius had to leave to attend his other commitments. His work can be seen in the 'Waterkeeper' Vimeo account, in Julius Richard's Vimeo and soon, 'The Waterkeeper' film will also be available online.

Last Thursday, we presented the film to a full house at Amna Suraka's cinema, followed by a Q and A session with the artists plus Nature Iraq. The feedback we gathered ranged from the very positive comments to the full detailed criticism. Later, we had our last meeting together and somehow we all felt re-strengthened by the feedback we received so thanks to everyone who came and enjoyed the 'film excuse' to talk and debate about our rivers and our environment.

Currently, we are refining the film, adding English subtitles and getting ready to deliver the next stages of the programme: creative facilitation plus training facilitators.

So far, we know we will be soon collaborating with children and under-privileged children, fine arts artists, grown up language students and riverain communities. We really hope we can spread the message all around, especially here in Kurdistan where the film was created, but also beyond.

More news to come soon!
