It's happening... 2

Today we went out to facilitate and it was a delightful experience from beginning to end!

We started at a school managed by Kurdish Save the Children, where we showed the film and facilitated a session for around 60 (under-privileged) children and 15 members of staff. The overall result was really overwhelming for us: the message is clear for them, they liked the story and together, we talked about the importance of clean water, and about the role of the Waterkeeper (the fleshed one, Nabil Musa, the 1st Waterkeeper of the Middle East, and also co-founder in this initiative).

One of the workshop's highlight happened when the two characters from the film, Naza and Zaza, came to visit them, but this time, they were interpreted by the kids themselves. The excitement in the room rocketed for what it felt like a whole minute! They absolutely loved it! What an experience! They then re-enacted their favourite scenes from the film, and to finish, we captured some of the joy in the photograph below.

In the evening, we visited a group of adult English students invited by lovely Gina. Again, the message comes across and it appears to do so in a manner which seems appealing to both children and adults. The group was really interested and we all enjoyed their enthusiasm and support in the cause to respect our waterways and our environment.

Thank you all for having us and making us feel welcomed.
Tomorrow we will follow the river, as we want to facilitate in those areas where we filmed.

Above, is a picture of the awesome music team: Kakas Muhammad Majid and Halmat Mahmud. Together, they have really broaden the scope, depth and dynamic of the film, whilst sharing with the Team a night to remember.

Once the music was added to the film, we were ready to show it to the audience at Amna Suraka Museum. Below is a pic of the 'World Preview'.
